Guide

Jinhsi

The new limited Spectro-Broadblade Jinhsi is a quick-swappy, bursty DPS that can work as a hyper carry and in a duo DPS team.

Jinhsi is overall a strong DPS whose kit is quite interesting and complex. If you're looking for interesting kits to play, Jinhsi is a great choice. In terms of overall strength, she doesn't necessarily break records above what Jiyan can do. Her whaling potential is huge as she can quickly frontload huge damage, and her sequences improve that so much more.

In terms of team flexibility, she's very flexible! Her kit encourages you to play her alongside off-field damage dealers so they can grant her tons of stacks, rather quickly. Yinlin & Mortefi are the best options for that. However, she can also pair up with a fast character like Sanhua. Most of her damage is skill damage, and so you might be tempted to line her up with Taoqi as well, maybe as an amplifier or a Sub DPS. However, Taoqi isn't great in general. As the 2nd slot she gets overshadowed by the characters mentioned above and as the 3rd slot doesn't perform better than Verina.

Jinhsi's ER requirements are extremely high so it is recommended to get enmo to use liberation every other rotation.

Overall rating: 8/10

She's simply a strong DPS with a unique playstyle but not a must-have as we have many good DPS characters in the roaster right now.

Sanhua

Sanhua is a VERY good and flexible character, perfect timing as she's a good pairing for Jinhsi. You get Sanhua for free if you log in during 1.0 for 5 days. Her sequences are really good especially S5 which makes her rotation faster and S6 which improves her team damage. She's a very good character to have built on any account due to the amount of characters she synergizes with. With Moonlit Clouds she can amplify your carry even further and Impermanence Heron gives a TON of energy which Jinhsi really wants.

Yangyang

Yangyang has 2 "power spikes" to her usability. One is when you get S3 where her grouping becomes quite good and the other is at S6 where she'll grant 20% ATK to your team. At S6 she's decent, pre-S6 she's not great. In terms of damage she's on the lower side, however there will always be "mobbing floors" on Tower of Adversity for her to clear for you. If you don't have Jianxin, Yangyang's value increases a little bit.

Danjin

Danjin is a weird character. She has the outro of an amplifier but the kit of a carry. So what is she? To put it simply, they wanted you to be able to use Danjin in both ways, without her being crazy as a DPS or an amplifier. She can support Havoc-Rover really well, which is one of the meta DPS character right now (and free).

Danjin's best strength is her usefulness in Hologram. Her small windows of DPS are perfect to cut down bosses while they spam their attacks. Because of that, she doesn't even need to parry in order to result in a stagger for her to freely damage a boss. In other content other than Hologram, she falls off. Her lower DPS and risky gameplay is less fitting for ToA. She comes a lot stronger with sequences.

Overall 4-star rating: 8/10

If you manage to get sequences for all of these characters they become so much stronger. Any 4-star here can be used. The weak link is definitely Yangyang however, you might still find use for her in the future for easier ToA clears.

My overall opinion on the banners... I think Jinhsi is an awesome character even outside of meta talk, she's really awesome and you should pull for her if you like her. If you are seeking good 4-star characters this is definitely not a bad banner.
