Depths of Illusive Realm, a limited time event Wuthering Waves, is a rogue like mode where players will have to select a given Resonator along with a set of upgrade cards in order to better increase your odds of successfully completing the event. This guide goes over how to unlock Depths of Illusive Realm, the basics, every stage of the event, objectives, and rewards.
The New Season for Version 1.1: Thaw of Eons - "Dreams Ablaze in Darkness" features new mechanics such as Tokens, Symphony Rank, and different Memetic Tuning for you to create your own powerful build.

Unlocking Depths of Illusive Realm
You will be able to access Depths of Illusive Realm starting at Union Level 17. If you are having trouble leveling up your Union Level or want the most optimized way to do so, be sure to check out our Priority Guide! Once you reach level 17, proceed to the area marked on the map in order to start the quest.
Basics of Depths of Illusive Realm
When you enter the realm and speak to the quest NPC, you will be asked to pick an assigned resonator to cleat the stage with. You can either pick a trial character, or choose from your own pool of resonators that are approved for the stage.
After a character is selected, you will be asked to pick an Echo, a Metaphor, and buffs for your selected resonator. Metaphors are the randomized upgrades that apply random buffs or enhancement to your selected Echo or Resonator, and these are selected after every room of a stage is cleared.
The overall gameplay loop is that you clear rooms of each stage called Memory Rooms, and each room clear grants you Dream Fragments, which allow you purchase various things from a vendor, ranging from healing to new metaphors to enhance your characters. At the end of each stage is a boss battle, where all of your upgrades will be fully tested.

Outside of Metaphors and character buffs, you will be able to apply permanent buffs to yourself with Thought Evolution, make sure to use this if you are struggling, especially in the later stages. The resource used for this, Memory Points, is gained from clearing stages, and are farmable.
Several new features have been added, including Memetic Tuning, Symphonic Rank, and Tokens.
Memetic Tuning allows you to fine tune the difficulty to your liking in exchange for more or less points, and up to 4 modifiers can be selected.
Symphonic Rank is like style ranking in Devil May Cry, where the more combos you do without taking damage, the higher your ranking goes, which in turns grants you more rewards.
Lastly, Tokens are items granted after completing a Memory Zone challenge, each granting different attribute bonuses or items that boost your strength in various ways.

Keep in mind that the level besides each stage is simply the suggested level to clear the stage, you can beat stages without being the recommended level.
Rewards
Depths of Illusive realm is packed full of rewards, each gained from different ways, be it from Anomaly Investigation from the event menu, Illusive Store items using Illusive Specimens earned from Stage Clears.
The main rewards for the event are:

- Malleable Elite Class Echo II
- Premium Tuner
- Crystal Solvent
