Overview

A free 5 ★ character, which all players will unlock as you progress through the story. As of writing, Havoc Rover has mostly been played as a main DPS who relies on Umbra State to do the bulk of their damage. The main gameplay loop is to build up Umbra, then enter a DPS phase by holding Basic Attack when Umbra Gauge is full.

  • Performs well in both hyper-carry and quick-swap teams
  • Not reliant on Resonance Liberation to enter a burst phase
  • Simple and easy kit and rotation
  • Has multiple supports to choose when team building
  • Resonance Chains (dupes) are not all available as of Version 1.0

Skill Priority

Hyper Carry

  1. Forte Circuit
  2. Resonance Liberation
  3. Resonance Skill
  4. Basic Attack = Intro Skill

As a Hyper Carry, Rover (Havoc) will want to use their Enhanced Basic Attacks from Forte Circuit to deal damage during Burst Windows.

Quick Swap

  1. Resonance Liberation
  2. Forte Circuit >= Resonance Skill
  3. Intro Skill
  4. Basic Attack

Rover (Havoc) cannot take full advantage of Forte Gauge in Quick Swap teams, making Resonance Liberation and Skill a decent alternative to raise. If you want to fill downtime with Rover (Havoc), we recommend raising Forte Circuit alongside Resonance Skill.

Character Synergies

Danjin
Synergizes well with Rover (Havoc) as a buffer and sub-dps. Danjin’s Burst rotation is quick and does not take a lot of field time. She can also run double Dreamless for a strong burst rotation.
Buffs
23% Havoc DMG Deepen
Verina
Verina synergizes well with all main/sub-dps, and Rover (Havoc) is no exception. She provides a team-wide All DMG Deepen and ATK buff. On top of this, Verina’s combos are short and do not take up a lot of field time.

Additionally, Verina has no problems running Rejuvenating Glow and Bell, offering the team a good mix of offensive and defensive utility.
Buffs
15% Team-wide All DMG Deepen
20% Team-wide ATK buff
Rejuvenating Glow and Bell-Born Geochelone

Sanhua
If you are playing hyper carry Rover (Havoc), then a good chunk of her damage comes from Basic Attacks. Sanhua’s Outro buff makes for a strong pairing. Sanhua also has low field time and can quickly be swapped in while Rover (Havoc) is casting Dreamless. R6 is an important breakpoint that provides an additional 20% team-wide ATK buff.
Buffs
38% Basic ATK DMG Deepen
10% Teamwide ATK Buff stacks up to 3 times (R6)
Moonlit Clouds and Impermanence Heron
Encore
While they don't provide any relevant buffs to each other, both Encore and Rover (Havoc) share short cooldowns. This allows them to fill a quick swap team and have either character fill in the downtime.

Rover (Havoc)
-Resonance Skill (Normal and Umbra)
-Resonance Liberation
-Dreamless
Encore
-Resonance Skill
-Inferno Rider 3rd hit
- Charge ATK
Baizhi
Baizhi is usually left as an alternative/backup pick, sharing similar buffs with Verina. Baizhi’s Outro only buffs the next character switching in, so you will need to adjust your rotation accordingly. Additionally, the ATK buff is NOT teamwide and requires your main-dps to interact with an item.
Buffs
15% All DMG Deepen
15% ATK buff
Rejuvenating Glow and Bell-Born Geochelone
Jianxin
Mostly brought into stages that have enemies you want to gather. While this may sound underwhelming, there are stages in ToA that have multiple enemies in the same wave. She has the option of using Originite: Type IV for easy access to Rejuvenating Glow set effect at the cost of her own damage.
Buffs
Gather
Rejuvenating Glow with Originite: Type IV
Yangyang
Similar to Jianxin, but her CC potential is worse than Jianxin. She does have the added benefit of providing Energy Regen to the team, but Jianxin should not have any problems generating energy.
Buffs
Gather
Energy Regen

Weapons

As of 1.0, Emerald of Genesis is Rover (Havoc) best-in-slot by a huge margin. Other alternatives like Commando of Conviction and Lumingloss fall short when compared to the 5-star variant.

???Sadly, Rover (Havoc)’s Skill has a CD of 12s, making it impossible to have a 100% uptime on its ATK buff.

???Lunar Cutter is a strong option for Quick Swap Rover (Havoc). The more field time a character has, the less effective this weapon becomes.

Echoes

Set EffectComparisonNotes
Sun-sinking Eclipse100%A generic Havoc set that works well with any Havoc damage dealer.
Sun-sinking Eclipse/Lingering Tunes 2pc+2pc???This set combination should be treated as a transition set rather than something to be used in the endgame.

Active Echo Recommendation

Sun-sinking Eclipse - Dreamless: A burst-oriented Echo that deals a large chunk of damage while also generating a respectable amount of Energy. While this Echo does have a long animation, it can be switch-canceled immediately unlike Crownless.

Additionally, it has a unique interaction with Rover (Havoc), which increases its damage after using her Resonance Liberation.
