This guide is based on the Echo Summon web event, and what is available there. The best main Echoes to have on Resonators (your characters) are their best in slot Cost 4 Echo found in their character pages. This means that the web event Echoes doesn’t matter too much and is just a means to get a slight head start to the game and may be replaced later on.
It is always best to get the Gold 5-star (important) rank Cost 3 Echoes as they give the most EXP in data banks, and Echoes can be farmed by simply killing mobs and bosses in the overworld. Cost 3 Echoes always have ATK and ATK% substats.
Each Cost 1 and 3 Echo can have multiple possible Sonata set effects that can be acquired, and the best in slot main Echoes should be within the set the Resonator prefers.
If you don’t get the Echo that you want, at least pick a Cost 3 Gold rank echo just to further your data bank. Rarities are as follows:
DPS
Violet-Feathered Heron
Recommended Characters:
- Void Thunder: Calcharo, Yinlin, Yuanwu
- Molten Rift: Encore, Chixia
This Echo grants your characters a parry which negates all damage. The parry can be helpful on characters like Encore who do not have a parry in their ranged form.
Havoc Dreadmane
Recommended Characters:
- Havoc Eclipse: Danjin, Rover (Havoc) (Male)
- Molten Rift: Chixia, Encore
Does 2 tail swipes that deal decent damage to enemies. The end animation can be cancelled by dodging.
Tambourinist
Recommended Characters:
- Havoc Eclipse: Danjin, Rover (Havoc) (Male)
- Freezing Frost: Lingyang, Sanhua
Applies an additional instance of damage every time one of your characters attacks up to 10 times.
Cyan-Feathered Heron
Recommended Characters:
- Sierra Gale: Jiyan, Jianxin. Yangyang
- Celestial Light: Rover (Male) (Spectro)
An echo that charges up then deals Aero damage to the enemy, it can also be used to parry attacks.
Roseshroom
Recommended Characters:
- Havoc Eclipse: Danjin, Rover (Havoc) (Male)
- Freezing Frost: Lingyang, Sanhua
A summon type echo that shoots a laser dealing 3 instances of damage, since this is a summon you can move around freely while it does its attacks.
Autopuppet Scout
Recommended Characters:
- Freezing Frost: Lingyang, Sanhua
- Celestial Light: Rover (Male) (Spectro)
Deals a huge chunk of Glacio damage and generates 3 ice walls that can block enemies attacks. Note that the cooldown is set to 25 seconds which is higher than most 3 Cost Echoes.
DPS/Support
Rocksteady Guardian
Recommended Characters:
- Celestial Light: Rover (Male) (Spectro)
- Rejuvenating Glow: Verina
A transforming Echo that allows you to hold blocks to counter an attack. It is also one of the few Echoes that scale with Max HP.
Chaserazor
Recommended Characters:
- Sierra Gale: Jianxin, Jiyan, Yangyang
- Moonlit Clouds: Mortefi, Aalto
Transforming into this Echo launches a spinning attack dealing decent damage and finishes with a vertical slash attack. A great tool for crowd control, pairs well with Jianxin as she’s able to gather enemies together and deals AoE damage.
Chasm Guardian
Recommended Characters:
- Rejuvenating Glow: Verina
This echo launches a Leap Strike when used, dealing massive damage to targets in range. It consumes 10% of the character’s current HP then regenerates it periodically afterwards.
Flautist
Recommended Characters:
- Void Thunder: Calcharo, Yinlin
Fire’s a beam of energy dealing Electro damage to targets in range up to 10 times. This Echo has an unique ability of generating Concerto Energy whenever it hits a target.
Geohide Saurian
Recommended Characters:
- Molten Rift: Chixia, Encore
- Moonlit Clouds: Mortefi, Aalto
When summoned, this echo will spew fire dealing Fusion damage.
Hoochief
Recommended Characters:
- Sierra Gale: Jiyan, Jianxin, Yangyang
- Rejuvenating Glow: Verina
When transformed into, Hoochief launches an attack dealing Aero Damage.
Spearback
Recommended Characters:
- Moonlit Clouds: Mortefi, Aalto
When summoned, this Echo launches a series of claw attacks at the target.
Stonewall Bracer
Recommended Characters:
- Rejuvenating Glow: Baizhi
- Moonlit Clouds: Jianxin, Rover (Male) (Spectro)
This transforming echo has an unique charging ability that can be cancelled if the ability button is pressed again. It deals damage to all enemies hit with its charge and extra damage if they are smashed against a wall.
