Reroll Guide

How to reroll in Wuthering Waves and best characters to target.

Rerolling new accounts is almost a staple in gacha games to get the characters you want, where free rewards are given out abundantly during the release phase of the game. Wuthering Waves is no exception as its 5-star characters will be highly sought after. In this guide, we will explore the possibility of rerolling in Wuthering Waves and what characters to aim for.

Is Rerolling Worth It?

For most players, No. Rerolling takes an extremely long time (roughly 30-60 mins), and rates for a 5* are low. In addition to this, there is no Guest Login option so you will need to create a new account and use a new email each time since salted emails (adding a + string between the name and the @gmail portion of your email address) are blocked.

For a breakdown on the Gacha and Banner System, check out our guide:

How to Reroll

As mentioned previously, there is no guest login and salted emails are blocked. We recommend preparing multiple emails to attempt rerolling. For each reroll attempt, you will go through the tutorial and progress through the story until you unlock the summoning system.

The story and reroll process goes as follows:

  • Meet Yangyang and Chixia
  • Defeat the Crownless after meeting Baizhi
  • Head to Jinzhou
  • Follow the main quest until you unlock the summoning feature and have Baizhi join your party
  • Claim your free pulls from your mailbox

Reroll Rewards

As of 6/4/2024, We are given a total of 75 free pulls. 40 for standard/novice/choice banner, 30 for Rate Up Characters, and 5 on the Rate Up Weapon banner. There is also 1 Selector Ticket Allowing us to choose 1 SSR for free.

Although no longer nessecary, we recommend pulling on Character Permanent Convene to get 1 SSR from rerolls then 3 guaranteed from Novice and Choice+Selector totaling to 4 SSRs. While you CAN roll on the Novice Banner right away this means losing 1 potential SSR from rerolling, leading to only 3 SSRs instead.

In addition, not all free rewards from the Official Release Bonuses are given right away, and require some progression of the game. For a full breakdown, check out our guide.

Note that character information is likely to be changed as some characters are receiving buffs. We will be adding and updating character descriptions after the buffs have been revealed on the release of the game.

Verina: One of the best picks when looking for a survivability and buffing option. Verina has ATK and DMG% buffs for the entire team while providing constant healing over time. She also deals off-field Spectro damage, allowing you to spend more time on your damage dealers.

Encore: An on-field Fusion damage dealer who deals most of her damage via her Resonance Liberation. While she isn't a bad character, there aren't any dedicated Fusion supports to help bolster her damage. This has not stopped for from being able to compete with other top tier main damage dealers.

Calcharo: With the release of Yinlin's banner around the corner, it is expected for his performance to imprve significantly.

Jianxin: Oddly enough, with several floors in ToA having mobs, the ability to gather enemies has become a popular choice.

Lingyang: Quite an oddball, of a character as Lingyang switches between Aerial and Ground attacks. This can be disorienting for some and lead to some of your attacks completely missing enemies.

Jiyan: One of the strongest damage dealers that outputs the highest AoE damage and respectable Single Target.

Yinlin: Needs testing on release.
